Weekly Objectives January 30th- February 3rd

This week starts our third marking period.  It’s hard to believe half the year is already over.  This last half will go by just as fast.  We have a lot to do in a short amount of time.  With that said, please talk to your child about the importance of doing his or her best every day and to keep building stamina with staying focused in school.  Please also remind your child to be doing MyOn and MobyMax at home daily.  Thank you.

Here is our objectives for the upcoming week:

Math-

  •  Recognize angles as geometric shapes that are formed wherever two rays share a common endpoint, and understand concepts of angle measurement:
Ability to recognize angles as geometric shapes where two rays share a common endpoint.
  •  An angle is measured with reference to a circle with its center at the common endpoint of the rays, by considering the fraction of the circular arc between the points where the two rays intersect the circle. An angle that turns through 1/360 of a circle is called a “one-degree angle,” and can be used to measure angles.
