Now that you know who your villain or villains are going to be in your story, let’s start writing! I have a brand new white hardcover book that will be yours to write on and illustrate. This project will take us about two weeks so do not rush. I want to see creativity!
Nothing is better than a story with a great Villain! After listening to one of my favorite stories that has a villainous character, you are going to create a MOST WANTED sign of your own creative villain. Next week, you will use this character to write your own fictional story using this villain.
Continuing our informational research today but I AM doing the research today! We will learn about the Food Chain and play Blooket after to test what you remember.
Dinosaur Research Week! You will choose a dinosaur of your choice and tell me about their body features and how they were beneficial to that dinosaur’s survival and life. You will also have a chance to design your own fierce or gentle dinosaur.
We will continue creating our travel brochures today and the goal is to finish our research of your country or state so you can start coloring and hopefully finish.

Our research unit is moving along nicely! Week 1 you used a database and did animal research, Week 2 we learned about the Great White Shark and I used two reliable resources before we tested our memories with Blooket, today we will be using AI. Yes, AI is acceptable and helpful to use when learning about certain things. We will discuss that before you use AI to search a “How to,” you are interested in. I can also print out your “HOW TO” if you send it to me!
We will continue our Research Unit but I will be doing the research part! (you’ll see). Our theme is the Great White Shark. After a short video, slideshow and discussion we can play BLOOKET about everything you learned.

Today we will begin our Research Unit! I have a lot of different things planned for you that you will enjoy. We will have a refresher of what the MEL database is and how to navigate through it. Our first research activity involves you doing research on an animal of your choice using a database.
