Hiii! So uh.. it’s been a bit. Sorry, Mrs. Gwizdz, but I’ve grown to become a very sappy person lol. I guess that’s why I’m here. I just realized it has been a whole 7 years since we walked out the Geer Park doors, a whole 4 years since we finished middle school, and a whole month since we graduated. Crazy, right? It’s just like yesterday we were tripping in your room and getting Jolly Ranchers for it. Since it has been a while, I’ll give you a little update on my life 🙂
So, my grammar got better! Mind-blowing!!! Also, I didn’t enjoy Stout as much as I wanted to. Mean kids suck, and there were many lol. However, my 4 years at Dearborn High were amazinggg (minus the occasional meltdowns, but that’s normal)! I met a lot of cool people, found my passion in science, made a mark in my community, and somehow ended up valedictorian of my class! I’ve learned to love learning. I’ve also learned that that’s cool. It sounds cringey, I know, but I thought you’d like to hear that as my 5th grade teacher. By the way, I’m now 17 years old. I turn 18 on August 28th, so I’m almost officially an adult! Scary, but awesome. As for next steps in life, I’m moving to California in the fall to attend Stanford University (my dream school ahhh!!). Being the science nerd that I am, I want to study the biology of cancer. I start in September, so I’ve been spending my last months of summer being incredibly sentimental. That’s when I stumbled upon the 5th grade promotion slideshow in my Google Drive, bringing me back and bringing me here.
I hope you’ve had a wonderful past few years. Knowing you, I’m sure you’re still full of warm smiles. So, just to catch up, does Allie still do that really cool pom dance? I remember you’d always show us her dances in class. Are you still around the Dearborn school district being the technology coordinator (I think that’s what I remember)? I’d love to hear about all the cool stuff you did after teaching us!!
Anyways, it’s getting late and I must sleep. I want you to know that you were an amazing teacher, and I really appreciate you for all the lessons and jokes you brought to my childhood. You know you’ve had a great class when you remember everything about it. This was one of those classes for me. And thank you for all the Jolly Ranchers! I’ll now admit––it is funny seeing little kids trip over silly objects.

Hi Mrs.Gwizdz,for the Brochure Template there are only six headings so it means I am only able to put down info for six slides. Should I just half one heading for two slides, because I have more slides and info to put down!!
You can combine information. That’s what you’ll have to do in order to fit it all.

Hi Mrs.Gwizdz I have a question about the science project. Do we have to get ALL the materials thats on the list such as: Paper Mâché, Paper Towel, Tiolet Paper Rolls/Tubes, Cotten Balls, and more. Or can we just get anything we can find thats on the list and can we just make the model out of clay and paint it or do we have to find things around the house like toilet paper rolls.

Hi Layan. This is Ms. Awosika. Yes, you do answer the questions in the hands. You answer them for your self but you also have to answer them for each family member in your tree. For example, after you trace your mom’s hands, you have to answer the same questions about her. Remember that you have to answer them in complete sentences. Reply back if you have any other questions. 🙂

Hi Aymen. Do not bring your iPad tomorrow. As far as the wifi goes, I don’t know if the guest network is set up yet. If not, then you cannot get wifi. If yes, then it won’t be a problem.

Hi Mrs.Gwizdz I think Mrs.Terisa through away my science model that we made in art class for the human solar system spectacular. But, I think we will not have school tomorrow due to the weather. I was hoping if we have school tomorrow that I can redo my model. If I won’t have time to do the model how will I be able to be in the solar system spectacular or will I not be in it.Yamecca also told me that in science or social studies class you said we can redo it if we would like to but I missed that because I was working on the NWEA test.
