PROTEST!
The 5th graders learned about colonial protests in Social Studies with Mrs. Simmons. Then they took their show on the road! Here are pictures of our protestors protesting the Proclamation of 1773, the Stamp Act, the tax on tea and the closing of Boston Harbor.
Solar System!
Mrs. Hussein has just begun our new science unit, the solar system. Today she introduced how day and night are observed on Earth in relationship to the sun. We used some of our new science materials purchased by Ms. Awada and donated by our fabulous parents!
Rocket Ryan Came for a Visit!
We had a special visitor~Rocket Ryan! He came to demonstrate the principles of Physical Science. We each got to perform 5 different experiments that demonstrated forces acting on objects. Check out our pictures!

Today’s PTA meeting will be cancelled!! Sorry for any inconvenience this may had caused but something came up and I won’t be able to make it.
Regarding Bookfair week, which is held March12-16, I still need volunteers. The following are times that I would need help with:
Monday, March 12
11am-12 & 2pm-3pm
Tuesday, March 13
10am-11am, 11am-12 & 12-1pm
Wed., March 14
10am-11am, 11am-12, &1pm-2pm
Literacy Night will be 4:30pm-6pm
Thurs., March 15
10am-11am, 11am-12, 12-1pm & 1pm-2pm
Friday, March 16
10am-11am, 11am-12 & 1pm-2pm
**If you can help out any of these days/times please contact me by phone or via email. We need at least 2 parent volunteers for each time slot.
