PTA Bake Sale & Hat and Glove Collection

The PTA is doing a bake sale on Election Day, Tues., Nov. 8.  If you are interested in helping during the sale or by sending in baked goods, we would really appreciate it!  We are planning to do this in 2 shifts:  9 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m…. or until we sell out!  We are looking for items such as muffins, donuts, cookies, brownies and cupcakes.  We will have water and are looking into getting coffee or hot chocolate as well.

New this year:  we are collecting new hats and gloves to give to kids in need in our school and community.  The kick-off to this will be Election Day and ending just before Christmas Break.  Our goal is to bring in 100 sets of hats & gloves.  If you are able to donate, please bring them in starting November 8th.  We will have a bin next to the office.

Thank you!

Math Test on Friday

1st Grade and 2nd Grade will be given math tests on Friday morning.  Study guides will be coming home this evening to help your child prepare.  We will study during the week in class as well.

Thank you for your support at home.

No Book Bag This Week

I will be assessing students’ reading levels this week.  I will not be sending home book bags until next week.  Students are still expected to read 15-20 minutes each night.   They may read library books, books from home or go on MYON.com.

Thank you for your cooperation.

A special thank you!

A special, spook-tacular thank you goes out to Mrs. Ridgeway, Mrs. Petersen, Mr. and Mrs. Litton, Mrs. Orsette, Mrs. Jaward and Mr. Aun for taking time out of their busy schedules to help us with our Halloween Party!  The students had a great time with the scavenger hunt and enjoyed the yummy snacks while we watched Clifford’s Halloween.  Thank you to everyone who was able to donate a paper product or sweet treat for our party!  I hope that everyone had a nice evening!
