  • Lesson 7: Conservation of Energy-
  • When the kinetic energy of an object changes, energy is transferred to or from that object
  • The total energy of a system is conserved
  • Energy may transform from one form of energy to another
  • The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant- In other words the amount of Energy that is started with remains the same within the system. There is no energy gained or no energy lost.
  • Energy may take different forms (e.g. energy in fields, thermal energy, energy of motion).

Lesson 7: Conservation of Energy-

Writing support for Energy Transfer and Energy Transformations.

ASSIGNMENT #1

Make sure to write your answers (locations) down on your document included here by “Making A Copy” to your Google Drive so that you may type your answers to submit.

Below your diagram- Compose an explanation to the following:
Use the Law of Conservation of Energy- Explain why the skater cannot travel higher up the track than where they started.

The following video will support your ability to accurately analyze and describe in WRITING.
