Posted by Erica Fulton on September 9, 2019 in Class News |

8th Grade:

This week we are completing our unit on measuring skills. Students are to have completed their Google slide show demonstrating aspects of measuring from what each mark on an inch means to how measuring is used in industry. Completed packets are due by the end of the hour on Tuesday. Beginning on Wednesday we will begin our next unit on careers. We will take a look at what careers use technology (spoiler: they all do) and then create a brochure which will give information to someone else about that career including the definition, the average salary, what degree is required, which schools are best for that career and what the job outlook will be in 10 years.

7th Grade:

Students are finishing up their unit on measuring skills by creating two-dimensional objects which were made by measuring lengths. Completed packets are due by Tuesday, at the end of the hour.

Our next unit begins on Wednesday and is on safety in a vehicle. Students will spend two and a half weeks researching and then building a vehicle which will hold a raw egg and then let it travel down a ramp to hit a barrier.
