Happenings for April 10th – 13th
I hope everyone had a relaxing spring break and are ready to get back into our activities:
8th Grade: We continue to work on our manufacturing unit this week. Students should be completing their shoe models by Thursday with some students beginning their commercials this week. Here is the activity sheet to create a story board:
7th grade: Students are continuing on their paper coaster activities. Today we are discussing how a team can best use their time in an efficient way. Think of car manufacturers, does one person build the car or are there many people performing individual tasks to complete the construction of the car?
6th Grade: Students are finishing their invention activity this week. Almost all of the typed reports have been turned in and now students are finishing their timeline, model or powerpoint presentation!
This week I am encouraging students to begin a discussion about their next activity which is on gameboard manufacturing. Students will form groups of 3-4 and design, construct and play gameboards. Here are some examples I found on Google:
