Students met in circles last week to learn about each other, learn about their teacher and to establish relationships amongst each other.

7th and 8th grade classes met in small groups last week and discussed which procedures they agree or disagree with and why. Below is a link to the behavior matrix we used in class:

Events for 7th and 8th Grade:

This week we will continue with procedures, focusing more on what we look for in a great school. Examples include clean bathrooms, not running in the hall, helping others in need, making sure to put materials away in their correct location.

We will also begin a review of measuring skills this week, assign seats and assign trays for students to keep their daily work in.

Measuring Skills:

Our focus this week for all grades will be on measuring skills when using a ruler. Take a look at the graphic below:
