No More Late Work Accepted…

  • I put out two blog posts and one Remind message letting everyone know that everything was due Monday 6-8-20 at midnight. I know you thought you had longer, but I was wrong about the due dates of grades.
  • Please do not message or email asking for yet another extension; the answer will be no. I have been more than fair and accommodating. Because my policies are so flexible, I had A LOT of grading to do over the next two days…
  • I am sorry that the year had to end this way. Like most of you, I was looking forward to Mackinaw, Cedar Point, and the Honors Assembly. I am grateful for the time that we had together and care for all of you so much. Enjoy the summer, and stay in touch!

Final Week of School!

  • I have to go back on something that I said; I thought I had until the last day of school to accept work, but I don’t because all failing grades must be reported by Tuesday.
  • This means all of your late and missing assignments MUST BE DONE AND SUBMITTED BY MONDAY JUNE 8 AT MIDNIGHT!
  • I cannot make any exceptions on this one. Check Student Connect to see what still needs to be done.
  • The tests are all closed and unfortunately, cannot be reopened as the deadlines were extended twice even after I said they wouldn’t be.
  • Message me on Remind if you need anything.

Monday 6-1-20

You may have noticed that the bellwork doc portals disappear after a week; this is because it is not an assignment that I will accept several weeks late. If you haven’t turned it in, you might want to before the portal disappears…this was something designed to be done DAILY for just a few minutes!

This is what you should work on today; these instructions were copied from the End of the Year Review:

May 28- June 1st: Take the Unit Test (50 points summative)

Part II Directions: You will have until June 1st to complete the Climate Change test on iLearn; below are Kahoot links you can use to help yourself review. You can also look at your previous quizzes.

Notes:

  • Turn in Bellwork Doc #3 (May 11-29) today on iLearn.
  • If you chose not to submit Bellwork Doc #2 (April 20-May 2) it cannot be submitted late.
  • 8th Grade locker materials pick-up is Wednesday of next week; I’ll post a schedule on Monday.
  • You should be finising up Part I of the last assignment and moving on to Part II (Climate Change Test); there will be a turn-in portal available on iLearn June 8 for those of you that finish everything early.

PBiS Behavior of the WEEK: Integrity: I’m leaving this one up all week to serve as a reminder- Are you using time wisely and completing assignments or are you waiting until the last minute/turning things in late?

Today’s Bellwork Question: What was your favorite part of your final year at Bryant?

Complete and Submit:

  • Continue End of the Year Review; it is due on or before the last day of school.
  • Turn in Bellwork Doc #3 (May 11-29); it is due on iLearn today.

Thursday 5-28-20

NOTES: You are not submitting parts of the most recent assignment separately; if you take time to read the directions, it tells you to do certain parts on certain days. Do the parts in order and it will make sense. I have created a outline to hopefully help you better understand below:

  • Part I is done on the Google doc; it won’t be turned in until all parts are done.
  • Part II is the Global Climate Change post test; it will be available on iLearn until 6-1-20
  • Part III is the Year Long Post-Assessment; it will be available on iLearn until 6-3-20
  • Part IV is the Student Record Keeping Sheet; it will be due on iLearn 6-5-20
  • Part V is simply a direction to turn in anything late or missing by 6-11-20; NOTE- tests cannot be taken past the due dates. That’s what “these dates are not flexible” means.

PBiS Behavior of the WEEK: Integrity: I’m leaving this one up all week to serve as a reminder- Are you using time wisely and completing assignments or are you waiting until the last minute/turning things in late?

Today’s Bellwork Question: What is your favorite movie of all time and why?
