Dearborn Public Schools are closed next Tuesday and Wednesday. Eid Mubarak to all who celebrate!
MWF: We are still looking for parent volunteers. We would ideally like 2-3 parents. Our picnic will take place from 11:30-1:00 on Friday, May 31.
TTH: Our parent volunteers are looking for 7 dollars from each child for the picnic. This money can be given to Issa or Aya’s mom as soon as you are able. Our picnic will be from 9:30-11:00 on Friday, May 31.
Our class picnics will be at Levagood Park on the playground near Divine Child. I will put a map out on the parent board as we get closer.
This week, we will be learning about music and musical instruments.

Thank you to all our Mystery Readers last week. All of our readers helped make March so much fun. And a BIG thank you to all our grown ups for reading and recording all month.
WOW, did everyone read a lot of books! Our total for the TTH class is 390 books read. Nancy read the most at 70 books. Our MWF class read 1000 books with Eric reading the most at 150. That’s 1390 books in both classes!! Great job everyone! Keep reading all year long.
This week, both classes are talking about one of my all time favorite author/illustrator, Mo Willems. He’s written a bunch of children’s books, but is most famous for his character, Pigeon. Both classes watched an episode from Pigeon’s new YouTube show and loved it, so I thought I would share the link with you in case you wanted to check it out.
As of Tuesday, the MWF class has read 690 books and the TTH class has read 270!! Wow!! Keep on reading and turning in those reading slips until Thursday and Friday.
Dearborn Public Schools will be closed beginning on Monday, March 25. School will resume on Monday, April 1.
