We’ve got our registration dates! If you are a returning family, you can start registering on March 11. Registration for the public begins on March 25. Our classes fill up very quickly so if you know you are coming back, make sure to register before the public can.
We will have the spring months available for snack sign up starting today. Look on the sand table please. We are asking each person to sign their child up for one day. That way, everyone will have a turn and most of the days will then be taken. Thank you so much!
If you were planning on bringing your child to the dentist that was scheduled for February 21, know that it has been changed to February 29. If you filed out the online paperwork to see the dentist, please let me know. Thanks!
Check out these free events! We will also be going on a field trip to the EIC on March 13 to learn about maple syrup. Field trip forms will go out next week.
Thank you to Officer Steve (Oliver’s dad) for visiting our room and teaching the children about your job. Officer Steve talked about how important it is for the children to know your first names, their address, and at least one parent’s phone number. Please practice these at home. Thanks!
If you know someone who is looking for preschool for the following school year, let them know we are having an open house on March 7. Everyone is welcome! This includes parents interested in my parent tot classes (not listed on the flyer).
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend. We hope everyone had a good time! The presenter said she loved our school and that our children were excellent, so thank YOU for raising such amazing kids.
A big thank you to Leona’s mom for sharing her job with the kids. She shared about her nail tech job and how she’s trained to cut hair. This was a great opportunity to talk with the students about scissors and what is appropriate to cut. Later in the day, I plugged in a hair dryer and we all came up to see how hot it can get. I also showed them a hair straightener without plugging it in. We talked about safety and about how grown ups are the only ones who can use them. Then we got to cut paper hair and decorate paper nails! Everyone had a really good time.
When we finish learning about community helpers, we are going to jump right into March is Reading! We will spend the month learning about different authors and illustrators. We will need your help to make this month super fun. During this month, we have parents come in at the end of our day and read a book to the class. The best part about it is that we keep the reader a mystery until they arrive, so no telling if you are coming into read. Please see the document below for more information and sign up if you would like to read. Being a mystery reader is voluntary. Since we only have a limited number of spots, we would like only one member of a family to sign up so that we can have as many different families read to us as possible. If you wanted to sign up and all spots are filled, add your name to the bottom of the document and I will plan a reading day for you after we return from spring break.
