Students will need to log into Google Classroom, Benchmark, Zearn, and Exact Path for these. If your child has any problem logging in, please let me know.

If students have not yet completed this week’s assignments, they can continue to work on them also. If they brought home their math books, they can also work on any unfinished pages in the module 3 &4 books for extra practice.

Continue sending me pictures of your child doing work, reading exercising, or creating art for the Geer Park Face Book page.

As students are turning in homework on Google Classroom, I will be looking at it. I may also add comments and return it if I feel like a student needs to fix something or if I see that they have missed anything. Your students should continue checking Google Classroom to see if they need to fix anything.

I will not add any new assignments until Saturday.

If you filled out the document to borrow a laptop please pick it up today at Geer Park during the following times:

10:00-11:00 – grades 3-5

11:00-12:00 for grades K-2.

In order to support students, we are looking loaning Chromebooks to families needing them to help students continue to learn. Please note that Chromebooks need an Internet connection that works. *Please note that we will have limited numbers available.

Children’s author Mo Willems will have a new video up every day at 1:00. He wrote the Knuffle Bunny books and Pigeon books. This might be something fun to check out while you are at home.

District Message:

“Greetings, 

All Dearborn Public Schools will be closed for students effective immediately, March 13, 2020. This is a result of Governor Whitmer’s order to close all K-12 school buildings, public, private, and boarding, starting Monday, March 16 until Sunday, April 5. 

Dearborn Public Schools spring break will take place from Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10. Students will return to school on Monday, April 13, 2020.

Students may report on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the normal start time to only pick up their belongings and school supplies.  

All staff should report on Friday, March 13, 2020 to assist students. Staff will only attend for the morning half of the day followed by a half day release time. 

All staff should continue to check their email daily for updates and information.

As of Thursday, 3-12-2020 there are no reported or confirmed cases of COVID 19 in the Dearborn Public Schools. 

This closure of schools is part of a nationwide effort to slow the spread of the COVID 19 virus. These actions will not eliminate the COVID 19 virus, cure COVID 19,  and this will not guarantee that a person will not contract the COVID virus at a later time. Again, these actions are part of a nationwide effort to slow the spread and limit the number of people who will become infected.
