PBIS Field Trip is on Monday!! We are going to the Lincoln Park Skating Center, the cost is $8.
Here is what is happening this week in class:
ELA
- Spelling words this week: dividend, environment, production, completion, television, adaptation, volcanic, composition, competition, metallic, definition, criminal, habit, admiration, instinct, flammable, provision, red herring, serenity, and revolution
- Reading a narrative poem about Paul Revere and visualizing aspects of the American Revolution.
- Word structure we will focus on homophones, irregular plurals, compound words and suffixes.
- Grammar we will focus on prepositions and prepositional phrases.
Math
- We will review adding and subtracting fractions.
- Comparing fractions with same and different denominators and numerators.
- We will review for the test.
- Test will be give on Friday!
Science
- Further discussing where water comes from.
- Understanding how we can make rain.
Social Studies
- Continue talking about the southern colonies and the development of the new world.
- Demonstrating the Jamestown map with a following directions activity.
