Math
- Estimating using place value.
- Adding and Subtracting whole numbers.
- Multiplication of whole numbers and decimals.
ELA
- Opinion writing – students are writing an opinion piece about whether or not they believe chocolate milk should be allowed in school cafeterias.
- Daily 5 and Cafe Strategies – Good fit books, and reading on level.
- We are reviewing check for understanding, cross checking, and listening for interesting words.
- Spelling words for the week: photosynthesis, weight, mode, although, range, reaction, whether, challenge, approach, matter, abolish, whimper, chosen, action, homophones, relation, physical, hyphen, interaction, charity
Social Studies
- National government
- State government
- MyON project comparing and contrasting national and state government.
Science
- We are working on physical and chemical change with matter
- Discussing what would happen if you drank a glass of acid.
- Reviewing vocabulary.
