Hello Families,
My name is Ms. Dexter, and I am very excited to be a new fifth grade teacher at Salina Intermediate this year. This is my 7th year teaching and my 4th year teaching 5th grade. I graduated high school from Edsel Ford and college from Eastern Michigan University with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a focus in Language Arts and Health Education. A little bit about me, I am a mother of three beautiful children, Jaelyn (age 9), Payton (age 8), and Ashtyn (age 4), and a huge Michigan State Spartans fan. One of my passions outside of the classroom is coaching. I have coached high school basketball and softball for 16 years and some of my career was spent coaching at Edsel Ford HS.
I am very excited to be your child’s fifth grade teacher this year and I look forward to meeting each of you in the near future. This will be an exciting and adventurous school year.
