October 14th/15th

Please make sure your student is checking their student email daily. MORE THAN ONCE A DAY!!

Synchronous Time

We took notes in our notebook on Author’s Purpose and practiced using Nearpod. Notes are posted in the “Helpful Resources” folder in Schoology.

Asynchronous Work

  1. ReadTheory (5 quizzes)– log onto ReadTheory and finish the pretest so you can start your homework quizzes – 5 quizzes due Friday @ 3:10pm (you will see this as 25 total quizzes passed since Sept. 10th)
  2. Silent Read your “Good Fit” book – 20 minutes/5 days a week (100 minutes total)

This week’s schedule break down

We are following the Bryant Half Day schedule during Synchronous time this week. You still have Asynchronous time on these days (except Friday which is a true half day)

  • Monday – A day (students have Peterson)
  • Tuesday – B day (students have Peterson)
  • Wednesday – A day (students have Jones)
  • Thursday – B day (students have Jones)
  • Friday – A day (students have Peterson)

Your Zoom sessions are set up in your teachers’ Schoology courses. Should you have any Tech issues during Synchronous time (AM), you need to contact the Dearborn Technology Department 313-827-8400. Shutting down your computer (closing the Chromebook or computer is NOT shutting it down) or making sure you are completely logged out of all other Google accounts on the device you are using fixes most issues.

Bryant’s Library Now Checking Out Books!

Bryant is excited to start to offer curbside library service to Bryant students on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-2:30 pm at the library window (off of Drexel). Books will be passed out to students through the library window, just like a fast food drive thru window. There will be a sign either on the window or in front of the window to show students where to go. Students would need to have no overdues or fines currently, and would need to place the book on hold using our online library catalog.

**Students will need to hear from the librarian before coming to get the book they placed on hold. Check your email! **Any student with overdue books can turn them in at this time as well. **FYI – the library windows are off of Drexel (opposite side of the building than Cherry Hill)
