Happy Friday!!!
We survived the heat and NWEA testing this week, yay!!
Tonight- I will be sending home M-Step results from last spring. Please look this over with your child. We can discuss more at Parent Teacher conferences. If there is anything pressing though, please feel free to reach out. Be sure to celebrate their successes!!
NWEA~ Students will have an NWEA sheet taped to the inside of their planner by next week. You will be able to see their scores throughout the year. It is very important for each child to know their RIT score and what goals to make from this.
Math~ We are finishing up Lesson 1, today. Students will have homework this weekend. Please be sure to read their planner tonight, as there may be more info and tips on how to help them if need be. Thank you with your patience with the new math curriculum.
Have a great weekend!!!

Good afternoon families~
I hope everyone is staying cool today! Tomorrow we should catch some relief….:)
NWEA reading- Some students finished and others did not. NO WORRIES! With the heat, I did not push it! We will complete the reading by Friday. Please compliment your son or daughter at how hard they worked today!
NWEA MATH will be taken tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. Thank you for making sure your child arrived to school on time ready to test!! Much appreciated!
Coming home tonight- Sign up for REMIND! It’s another way, I communicate with parents. I usually post for quick reminders, for example field trips, 1/2 days, etc…
Reading Requirement letter- Please read over this with your child, sign and return it to me by Friday the latest. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Monthly reading logs and reading responses, students may begin their reading logs. I will model examples of how I want the reading responses to be completed next week. So no rush on starting this!
Habit 1- Being Proactive! We talked about taking initiative today. Initiative is when you see a problem and take action without being told, even when difficult.
Ask your child why is it important to take initiative?
As always, please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great rest of the day!
Mrs. Currie

Please make sure your child has a hearty breakfast and a good night’s sleep! Also, to bring a water bottle as it’s suppose to be another HOT ONE!!
Have a great rest of the evening!
Stay cool.
