Good morning~

I am posting a quick video to the students in the writing Google classroom! Make sure they check it out!

I sent out the weekly progress report folders last night to all families. Please make sure to go through this with your child. Thank you in advance for doing this.

I will be heading in to Lindbergh to pack up the students belongings. We will know when parents can pick these items up either later in the week or next.

I will be meeting with Group A today at 11:00 a.m. in the BBB platform. Check Google Classroom A- for what your child will need for this session.

Let’s hope this rain stops soon!

New assignments posted 5/18/20!

Posted by Danielle Currie on May 18, 2020 in Class News |

Good morning-

Happy Monday!

New assignments are posted in the Writing, ELA. Spelling & Math Google classrooms. I am reposting the animal research google form in the small group google classrooms. If you already submitted it, disregard this.

I will be checking in last week’s work starting today. I am only accepting late work until Friday, unless you personally reach out to me and explain your circumstance. To receive work a week or so late, is a challenge for me to back track. Parents, please use the checklists, go through this with your child and triple check all work is attached when turned in. This will alleviate late work as well. Thank you for your help with this.

Another tip, you can download the Google Classroom app, and upload pictures right to your Google classroom. It is much easier than using a computer, if you are taking photos of your work. If you have an IPhone you can use the Notes app to scan your work as well! Just some other tips on how to make it simple for turning in the completed work!

I am going in to school tomorrow, to gather your child’s belongings from the classroom and locker. I will be placing everything in a bag. Look out for a blog post from myself and/or Ms. Tiba on dates you can pick up these items and/or drop off anything that belongs to the school, such as library books. classroom books etc… More information to come with in the next week or 2!

Have a great day!

Happy Friday families~

First of all, THANK YOU all for being amazing and joining the live session yesterday! I am grateful for everyone’s patience. We had 98% attendance. There are some kinks with this platform, but overall I felt it was a success. Loved seeing all the students!

A couple take aways:

  1. Having an adult with the student is important!
  2. Use the Google Slide show with the proper steps of logging on is key.
  3. I suggest all of you do this test on your computers. It is called speedtest.net It gives you valuable information on the speeds of your ping, uploads and downloads. You want to have numbers in the teens. I did this test the other day to triple check my speed.
  4. Even if your child was on for a few minutes, it was great seeing them!
  5. Looking forward to next week’s small and whole group sessions.

New assignments posted: ELA (LIM assignment), Math- Online Fraction games with an exit ticket.

Here is the weekly assignment checklist! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dEK7NRYlWz4d_i1bLNSpPK8qQ17spsD0MHYbR0aqm4k/edit?usp=sharing

Upcoming important dates:

NO SCHOOL May 22nd & 25th! Happy Memorial Weekend!

Have a great weekend!
