I hope you all enjoyed this weekend, despite the chilly weather! #summerforever. Today in class, we will begin the hour by entering a few things in our notebook. We will then work on our Unit 1 Vocabulary that is due at the end of the hour, and Unit 1 Word Wall. You will also be given Unit 1 packet where you are going to complete pages 1 and 3.

Example of how to complete a Word Wall – Take any Unit 1 Vocabulary Word. Put it on a plain sheet of printer paper (I am providing) underline the word, Define the word, and then draw it.

Good Morning!

Today in class, we will begin the hour by entering our Unit 1 Vocabulary in our notebook Unit 1 Vocabulary. We will then watch Flocabulary and complete an assignment on it  (as a class, the same topic, so we all know how to complete it in the future – side 1 only. Please hold onto the assignment for side 2 later on this card marking), CURRENT EVENTS WS FLOCAB(1) Flocabulary Directions We will then work on the vocabulary, that is due Monday, and the Map of the world that is due at the end of the hour!

Students may need to get books for the Unit 1 Vocabulary and have to stop by after school — However, I will post this to help you.

Today in class, we will begin the hour taking a pre-test of vocabulary words that we will use this year in class! We will then by review what we will do if we are stumped on a word. We will then review the 7 continents and 4 oceans, followed by making a map of the world! As a reminder, this must be neat, all oceans are to be circled, and label all before coloring!

2.  Folder for Social Studies ONLY
3.  Notebook for Social Studies ONLY (You can get the notebooks that have folders in them, but may be only used for Social Studies)!
4. A book cover if possible!
5. Gluesticks
6. Stick Notes!

As we inch closer and closer to the school year starting in 3 weeks, and have seen school supplies in the store, please consider getting these items for 7th grade Social Studies class:

1. Multiple Pens/Pencils
2. Folder for Social Studies ONLY
3. Notebook for Social Studies ONLY! (You may get the notebooks that have the folders in them, but a section must be used for Social Studies.)
4.  A book cover, if possible! Students will be given a textbook to take home this year for Social Studies. There will no online access for them.
5.  Glue Sticks
6. Sticky Notes
