We need to review the following skill from ALgebra2 so we can answer some SAT questions.

Please carefully read the following sample problem and write it in your notebook notes section. Title it: completing the square review, then answer problem #13 page 46.

Completing the square sample problem

• Yellow group (or green): write the equation of a line in point slope form given 1 point and the slope or given 2 points. example 1, example 2 p28,29. Application: p36#3-6, 11-34.
• Pink group: Find an equation of a parallel line. example 5 page 32. Application p 37#41-44 part a. Find an equation for the line passing through the given point and parallel to the given line.
• Orange Group. Find an equation of a perpendicular line. Example 6 page 32. Application p37#41-44 part b. Find an equation for the line passing through the given point and perpendicular to the given line.
• Students will be presenting tomorrow.
• All students will be responsible for all practice problems due Thursday for all 3 objectives. p37#3-6, 41-44 parts a and b.
