Hello! I hope everyone is trying to be positive and staying happy!

I thank all of you for the support you have shown during this time! Keeping your child on a schedule is the best thing you can do for them right now. Having set times to work on iready, Zearn and reading responses are crucial to getting them prepared for the next grade.

I will be adding assignments in the weeks to come, and we need to make sure they are ready and willing to achieve their potential.

I am happy to see so many in my class are back into a good routine of completing iready, zearn and their reading response journal! Kudos go out to you parents who have your child on a schedule! You are appreciated!!

If your child has not completed at least 30 minutes of iready per day, please make sure you monitor their work to assure that the minutes are accounted for! At least ONE lesson on Zearn should be completed per day as well. If there is a problem getting online please do not hesitate to contact me for help!

I added another assignment on Google Classroom for their Reading Response. They should NOT turn it in, just continue to enter their responses dated for each day. I am able to read what they wrote remotely from my laptop!

Again, thank you for supporting your child’s continued education. We may be adding more assignments as we get direction from administration. Please make sure you are checking my blog daily…

I hope everyone had a great Spring Break and a Happy Easter if you celebrate it!

We will be getting back to work this week. Please make sure that your child works on iready for 30 minutes EACH day, and one Zearn lesson EACH day. Please don’t forget their Reading Response. They need to add one EACH day! They were doing a great job prior to the break, please help them keep up the momentum!!

Hello everyone.

I hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe. I just wanted to let everyone know that I unfortunately had to cancel the Little Caesar Pizza Kit Fundraiser this year. If someone made an online order they will be refunded in 48-72 business hours. If you had paying customers with checks or money please make sure to inform them that we had to cancel this year and refund their money to them when the right time comes. Again I’m sorry that this had to happen. Thank you to everyone that sold kits this year, 5th grade appreciated all your help in sending our upcoming 5th graders to camp. If you have any questions please let me know. I will do my best to answer them.

Good Afternoon everyone! As you probably already heard, Governor Whitmer announced today that schools will be closed for the rest of the school year.

What does this mean for us? We already have iready and Zearn in place for reading and math. Writing is continuing on Google Classroom. There may be more direction given soon by the administration, but for now just keep your child doing what they are doing! We are making great progress in spite of the situation we’ve been put into.

Thank you for continuing to support your child’s education and I will update you daily on any changes or additions!

I want to give a big shout out to all of you wonderful parents! The class is focusing on their iready and zearn while we are under the “Stay at home” order.

Please make sure your child is writing a Reading Response on Google Classroom each day. They should be working through their reading group book. When they finish that book, they can choose a book from their home library to read and write about.

Please make sure to check your email, because I am emailing individual parents regarding their child’s work. Also, if you haven’t already subscribed to my blog (and some of you haven’t!) please do that as soon as possible to get the latest updates!
