On Thursday, June 11th I will do one final drop off at your house. I have pizza boxes for each child with some memories inside. Hopefully you saved the animal lapbooks and other things from the fall to add to it as well. It’s a good collection of how they spent their kindergarten year!
I will try and give a time frame for my visit to your house. I will begin around 10 am and hope to be finished by noon. I also have a sign that says “On to First Grade” that you can take their picture with. The students can also get a last day photo with me if you would like.
If you are not comfortable with your child coming out and seeing me dropping the stuff off then just email me. I can leave it on your porch. If I do not hear from you I will knock or ring the doorbell when I arrive!
Tomorrow will be the last day of goals and then I will complete report cards! These will be available after Thursday of next week on Parent Connect. The district should also be mailing a hard copy to your homes.
I’m still working out park play date time and location. I will email you all the details once I have it confirmed 🙂
It saddens me so much that this is how we had to end our year. I so badly just want to have our traditional Kindergarten Celebration in the gym the last week of school with families. I hope that things will be back to normal in the fall and I can “collect” all those missed hugs I have missed out on. I can’t wait to see you all on Thursday!
Hello all! If you have any pictures of ANY art or exercise your child has done please email them to me by next week! I will forward to the specials teachers so that they can count that towards participation on the report card! If you have been emailing me them I have been forwarding. If not — please send me something to pass on to them! 🙂
I have had lots of questions about the Me On the Map assignment. Many were asking for papers to go with. I attached the file in case you want to use these circles or the flipbook. Your choice– not required. Most important is the concept of the different places that are our location (my home, my street, my city, my state, etc.).
Next week teachers will be in the building closing down the classrooms! Families will be allowed to pick up their child’s stuff on June 2 or 3rd. Everything will already be bagged up and labeled. More information about this process will be coming from the principal. Their will be a box for books on these days. I am allowing you to keep the book bag leveled books if you would like for the summer! If you do not want them then you may return. If you want to keep you may return to me in August 🙂 I will be returning your child’s library book because they should be in their seat pockets at school. If for some reason a library book was taken home please drop if off on June2/3.
Please email me if you have a school chromebook.
Please continue to send me pictures of your completed goal sheets for these last 3 weeks! You will notice the last week is all fun! Bummed we wont be able to do it together but hopefully it can be fun memories for your families.
Unfortunately with the mandate at 10 people we still can not pick a date for the play date yet! Hopefully soon!
Please email me if you want to do a video chat Tuesday-Thursday of this upcoming week. I can schedule things are being in the classroom hopefully!
Each child will see me the last day of school— June 11! I have a special surprise to drop off at your doors 🙂
Hello All! We are finally in the home stretch. Just like we do in school the goals continue to decrease until the last week. Reading, writing, and math are still important to do each day so we are down to those three goals!
The solar system book is for those who would like it. Epic also has books about the solar system and planets so you do not need to print if you do not want to. Your child can just read on epic.
I will be assigning books on epic for the social studies unit. The children can listen to the stories that correspond with each day on the Me On the Map Unit.
Please email me if you want more work! I would use this time to finish up any undone papers but I do have more worksheets if you would like them for the summer.
We are beginning another week! After this just three weeks left! We can do it!! 🙂
Towards the end of the week the new learning from home plan will come out! This plan will get us through the last day of school- Thursday, June 11th! I have switched up some goals, added some fun things, and added in our last social studies unit- Where are we in our World.
This week I will be finishing up one on one phone calls! It was so nice to have spoken with all of you. The kids did a great job reading to me. If you have not had a one on one I will be sending an email later in the day to set up a day/time.
Once the stay safe, stay home order has less restrictions we will be able to choose a park play date time and date. I’m assuming it would have to be late June or July depending upon how things work out! I will not forget! I cant wait to see them all again!
Reminder that there is no school on Friday or Monday. It is Eid and Memorial Day!!
