Our math test will be on Wednesday. We are reviewing Monday and Tuesday. Your child will come home with their study guide on Monday. Please have them return it on Tuesday, so that we can work
more on it on Tuesday. The test covers multiplication, division, fractions and place value.

Our test this week will be on Thursday, February 11, 2016. This change is due to the winter break on Friday and Monday, when we will be off of school.

Students should go to bed early and get plenty of rest this week as we take our last NWEA test on Friday morning. Students have been working hard and taking their time while thinking about each question and answer. I am proud of the progress each student has made. Let’s keep up all the hard work and come to school refreshed and ready to begin.
Our next Math test will be on unit 4 on Thursday. It covers multiplication, division, word problems and multiplication strategies. The math review went home today with homework problems-10,11,12,13,14,16,17,18,19. We will go over the rest of the review in class so each student should know and understand each problem. They are not expected to know all of the multiplication facts to 10 yet. They have been taught multiplication strategies (arrays, repeated addition, skip counting, equal groups and number line) to help them with problems they do not yet know.
Each Friday, students will take a short multiplication facts quiz. This week we are on twos or threes. Please go over the multiplication facts with your child.

This week we are beginning the NWEA testing. On Monday, Tuesday, and possibly Friday we will be working on English Language Arts, Science and Reading. Students please go to bed early and get lots of rest. Also, eat a nutritious breakfast to help our stamina with the test!
