Monday
Read- 30 minutes
Writing Calendar-Tell about what would happen if it never rained.
Spelling-5x each

Tuesday
Read- 30 minutes
Writing Calendar-Tell what you plan to do after school today.
Math- X array

Wednesday
Read- 30 minutes
Math- missing number for multiplication and division
Writing-Tell about a movie you like to watch over and over.

Thursday
Read- 30 minutes
Writing Calendar-Tell about a time when you helped your parents do something.
Spelling-5x each use fancy or funky letters. Study for test.

Math-Instruction Math Book pages 258-259.

Friday
Read- 30 minutes
Writing Calendar-Explain why writing neatly is important.

Saturday and Sunday
Read 30 minutes

Students may also go on Myon and MobyMax to practice reading and math!!

Biggest Reader Contest Update and School Contest

So, far Bilal Jadallah, Alaa Saeed, and Reham Mohamad are our top 3 readers for our class. Keep on going!!!  There is also a school math and reading contest with Bilal in 3rd place overall so far.  Let’s keep up our math and reading skills.  Great job to those students who are participating.

Ready, Set, Go-BIGGEST READER CONTEST BEGINS TODAY!

Remember our reading contest on MobyMax begins today.  Log in to MobyMax use your school number with @dearbornschools.org then add your password and go to the games tab and click on contest.  The leader board will be up daily and I will checking to see who is reading and leading.  Have fun!!!

Biggest Reading Contest!!!

Our class is being challenged to read every day over the holiday break.  Students are to read on MobyMax every day.  Our goal is for each student to read at least a total of 420 minutes over the two weeks, which is 30 minutes every day.  Students will use their login and password to sign in.  The computer will tabulate the scores daily, so be sure and check the leader board to see how you are doing.  I will be checking it and encouraging students as the week goes on.  It begins December 24-January 9.

Friday-Pajama day
Read- 30 minutes

Bucket Filler Assembly

Bilal Jadallah and Hady Bazzi honored for academic NWEA excellence.

Destin receives the award for being a bucket filler in our class.

Miller’s bucket fillers are recognized!

Alaa Saeed chosen as student of the month for our 3rd grade class.

Hameeda Shareef and Destin Proshek are honored for academic NWEA excellence in math.

 

Today we had our first bucket filler assembly for 3rd-5 th grades.  Ms. Harden and the honors choir and drummers performed for us.  We celebrated academic excellence on the NWEA reading and math portions of the test.  Our high achievers are Hameeda Shareef and Destin Proshek in math and Hady Bazzi and Bilal Jadallah in reading.

Spirit Week December 19-23

Greetings Families,
Next week, Miller students will have the opportunity to engage in Spirit Week.  Every day will be a different theme.
We want to make sure that everyone has a remarkable time, but we also need to make sure that all
