Class Homework :)

Everyday, Monday through Friday, I am going to have the students chose a book from their personal book box to bring home and read each night.

The books from the book box are ones that they have chosen to read from our classroom library, that are at their current reading level. From that book box, they will chose one that they would like to read to someone at home or independently.  You will find a “Book Bag” in your child’s backpack that contains a reading log sheet that needs to be signed each night.  Thank you for your participation in this! 🙂

Each student also has a set of flash cards on a ring in their book bag for the sight words they are working on for their reading goals this year.

The students can also go to the Dearborn schools website for students and log on to Zearn (a math practice website and I-Ready (a reading practice website) with their school gmail information. The recommendation is that they do this a few times a week for 15-20 minutes.

So the daily homework is:

-Go through sight word flash cards.

-Read book in their reading bag and sign the reading log.

-15 minutes on I-Ready and Zearn 3x a week.

Thank you! 🙂
