Today in class the 6th graders received their quizzes from Friday. Then, we continued Thursday’s notes on parts of an expression. The IXL is 7.R.7 on parts of an expression.
Today in class the 8th graders read and annotated text about creating scatter plots. Then we worked on finishing the Mathemafish assessment. This is due tonight around 8pm!
Today in class the 6th graders took a quiz on substitution and writing variable expressions. The IXL is 6.E.8 on least common multiple. Have a GREAT weekend!
Today in class the 8th graders analyzed real-world linear problems for slope and y intercept in context for, “Desk Cards #1-10”. This is posted in google classroom for those who were at orchestra practice or absent. We will check it tomorrow.
Today in class the 6th grade worked to write expressions from verbal phrases and identify terms, constants, and coefficients on the worksheet, Algebra Vocabulary Chart. There is no homework unless you want to study for the quiz!
Today in class the 8th graders matched together linear equations, graphs, and tables on the worksheet activity, “Multiple Representations” and wrote equations to match graphs in IXL A.S.7. Your “Mathemafish Assessment” is due by Friday!
Today in class the 6th graders reviewed for Friday’s quiz by completing Algebraic Expressions Bookwork and the Worksheet called, “Algebra By Example 3.6”. We will check them in class tomorrow.
Today in class the 8th graders got their slope quiz back and had the rest of the hour to work on their “Mathemafish Assessment”, which is due FRIDAY!.
Today in class the 6th graders analyzed the work of others to look for the correct method of simplifying in, “Jada & Noah”. Then they began their Algebra Vocabulary Chart in google classroom. Please finish anything you need at home. Your quiz on evaluating expressions using substitution will be FRIDAY.
Today in class the 8th graders began their project assessment on rate of change/slope called, “Mathemafish Assessment” in google classroom. They began discussing ideas with a partner in class today, but will be creating their own slideshow or google doc. We will work on this in class tomorrow as well. It will be due around the end of the week, NOT tomorrow. The only homework is to catch up on missing IXL.
