Happy Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!! The week is almost over. Due to Memorial Day, we will not have online class on Friday or Monday. Therefore all assignments will be due on Thursday. In addition to that our first day back which will be Tuesday May 26, 2020 we will be holding our second on class meeting. The directions are below and in google classroom. We had 9 students logon this week. Next week I will be going over some important information regarding next school year. Hope to see you all their.

Today we will be meeting in Ilearn. This will be a video meeting. I ask that all students join. I’m including the directions on how to join the class.

All you have to do is:
1) Click on Student Portal on dearbornschools.org
2) Select iLearn. Then log in with your 20 number
3) Select my classes on top. Select SwsanBeydoun/ Miller/4thGrade
4) Click on the Big Blue Button under the word announcements

Well we are down to the final Week of Ramadan and to the Final Month of school We have four more weeks. We could do it. I Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. A couple of reminder’s for the week. It’s very important that you continue to check the blog daily and complete the assigned work. Students must complete the work in order to receive credit for the school days and move onto 5th grade. I am required to keep track and grade all the assignments that are turned in. This will help determine whether the student will be promoted to the next grade level. I ask all work please be completed using google classroom. That is the best way for me to keep track and give feedback. Mrs. Sleiman and I will be contacting you throughout the week. Please if you receive a private call answer. We will be calling to check up on you. I will also be trying something new this week. On Tuesday we will meet online at 2:00. We will do this using the big blue button on I learn. I will post the directions later on today. This will give students an opportunity to see their friends and for us to check in. If you have any questions or concerns please email me at beydous4@dearbornschools.org I will check it daily and respond within 24 hours.
Reading: Please continue to complete 45 minutes a week on I-ready. I have assigned two lessons main idea and supporting details. Make sure to complete at least 45 minutes on iReady plus the assigned lesson. Passing score should be minimum 80% and above. Take your time when answering the questions on the quiz. I have noticed students getting scores below 80%. It’s not a race, you need to use the strategies that we learned in the class. Read the questions first, then the passage. Boy’s and girls I am using Iready scores for your reading grade, so do not rush through.
Writing: This week for writing we will be practicing identifying main ideas and key details. You have one story to read, complete a chart for and then write a written response. The story and the directions are on a google slide for you to complete. This is a writing assignment not a reading assignment so there is also a video of Mr. Duering reading the story for you if you need it.

Science: For science this week, you will be reading the passage “Animal Instinct ” https://www.readworks.org/article/Animal-Instinct/435ddd51-dac9-46bc-9fbe-4e0c851d4cbf#!articleTab:content/ Our class code is 37YXD5 and the pass code is 1234. Students you need to make sure you are logging in under your own username or password. If we continue having issues with logging in under another students code, I will report the issue to Mr. Awada.
Social Studies: This week in Social Studies we will be focused on Unit 6 lesson 2 What are the Responsibilities of Citizens. Complete slides 12-14.
Math: This week in Math we will continue working on Fractions. Our focus will be on Module 5 Lesson 16, division and multiplication check. Complete the google form in google classroom. In addition make sure to complete 45 minutes of ZEARN.
