Posted by Swsan Beydoun on March 22, 2020 in Class News |

3-25-2020 Good Afternoon,

I hope everyone is doing well on this beautiful spring day. Please make sure that students complete all the assigned work by Friday for this week. I was looking over the I ready we have a handful of students who have not logged in this week. As for read works half of the class submitted their assignments. Nice job boys and girls. Make sure to continue reading the passage first then answering the questions. I’m very impressed with your work. We have half of the class who has completed the readworks assignment. As for spelling only two students have turned in their definitions and sentences.

Parents I know this is a stressful time for all, but please continue to hang in there and If there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to email me or text via remind. If you have not signed into remind text please do so as soon as possible. Thank you.

Welcome to week two of online instruction. I hope everyone is doing well and remaining safe. We had a rough start, but with the support of our administration we were able to get everyone on board with chromebooks and any other necessary materials needed to complete the required assignments. I ask that you remain safe. Safety is our number one priority. We are all in this together. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me via remind text or email me at beydous4@dearbornschools.org.

Parents of students who receive speech, I’m attaching the following link to help our students continue receiving speech therapy during this time. There are some very helpful activities to do at home.

I will be using Remind to send updates about important class information. I believe this will be a great way to reach everyone. I tried inviting parents, however not everyone signed up. Please if you have not joined our class on remind text, do so immediately. Thank you very much and please be safe.

Reading: Please continue to complete 45 minutes a week on I-ready. I have assigned two lessons to all of you (“Close Reading: Compare Points of View” & “Close Reading: Explain Author’s Reasons & Evidence”). Completing these two lessons will give you the needed minutes, the goal is to pass the lesson at 85%. March is Reading Month tickets will still be passed out when school resumes in April. Students did a great job last week, reaching 85% or better on the lessons. 95% of the class met or exceeded the 45 minutes a week goal. Nice job 4th graders.
