Hope all is well. Please make sure all assignments are completed by Friday. I ready minutes are a must. 45 minutes of I ready is required or students will receive limite progress for reading. We had about half the class onto our class meeting. It was a great opportunity to see one another. Please stay tuned to some very important information in regards to distributing students materials.

I Hope everyone enjoyed their extended weekend. Happy Ramadan to all. Every year and you are in good health. A couple of reminder’s for the short week. It’s very important that you continue to check the blog daily and complete the assigned work.  Students must complete the work in order to receive credit for the school days and move onto 5th grade. I am required to keep track and grade all the assignments that are turned in. This will help determine whether the student will be promoted to the next grade level. I ask all work please be completed using google classroom. That is the best way for me to keep track and give feedback. Mrs. Sleiman and I will be contacting you throughout the week. Please if you receive a private call answer. We will be calling to check up on you. On Tuesday we will meet online at 2:00. We will do this using the big blue button on I learn. I will post the directions again. We had 10 students join us last we. This will give students an opportunity to see their friends and for us to check in. If you have any questions or concerns please email me at beydous4@dearbornschools.org I will check it daily and respond within 24 hours.

Today we will be meeting in Ilearn. This will be a video meeting. I ask that all students join. I’m including the directions on how to join the class.

Reading: Please continue to complete 45 minutes a week on I-ready. I have assigned two lessons Summarizing informational text. Make sure to complete at least 45 minutes on iReady plus the assigned lesson. Passing score should be minimum 80% and above. Take your time when answering the questions on the quiz.  I have noticed students getting scores below 80%. It’s not a race, you need to use the strategies that we learned in the class. Read the questions first, then the passage. Boy’s and girls I am using Iready scores for your reading grade, so do not rush through.

Writing: This week for writing we will be working on our summaries of informational texts. Remember what we did last week with the main idea and key details to include the important information from the passage to write a summary.
