    2. Using our time wisely means that because we have time in class to work on this, that’s exactly what we are going to do because we know that we will not go home and complete this for homework
    3. We should all realize that our Fishbowl Discussion is a summative grade and that we will be graded by the depth and complexity of our answers. There are no participation points for this assignment. Either you have researched evidence to back up your opinion or you don’t.
    4. If you don’t understand what question is asking you, then I expect you to ask me to clarify. Also, if you don’t know where to start your research, I expect you to ask for assistance.

  1. SSR (silent sustained reading) –  During this time the entire class should be completely silent, reading, and annotating the short story that you received on Tuesday. You will receive a bell work grade for this.
  2. Book Talk Model by Miss Williams and pass out Oral Presentation Rubric
  3. I wrote a poem for you all and I want you all to read it!!
  4. In small groups, you will think about my three main rules for the classroom, which are 1. Be Respectful 2. Be Responsible 3. Be Safe
    1. These rules are somewhat vague, so your group will help to clarify what they mean in the classroom.
    2. Your group will be assigned one of the rules and you can either 1. Act it out 2. Write it out 3. Draw it out
    3. Your group will present these to the class
