Time is moving quickly as we head in to the Fall! By now you have the ability to bake cookies, pancakes, and muffins. The safety and sanitation test is on Friday 9/29. Your folder should started and a personal cookbook should be on its way!
Welcome Back to the 2016-17 school year! If you are reading this chances are you are in my Fundamental Foods Class. Please stay tuned for updates. We are so close to being done! That usually means that everyone is in such a hurry. Slow down, be patient, and take lots of deep breaths!
The International Project is over. A binder check and room clean up is next week! Lots of points are still out there make sure you are earning as many as possible!
Attached is the Binder organization sheet that is due Monday. If you are on top of things it should take you 10 minutes tops!

On Friday, May 6, students will have a kitchen math test/post test. Students, had a 3 day PowerPoint presentation over 3 weeks with notes to follow along and guided practice. Attached is the Ppt for review.
Students are embarking upon an international project and cooking experience. Over the next 5 weeks they will be preparing recipes from all over the world. The project itself consists of research, poster, and presentation. If they want to earn extra points they can make or purchase food that is common to their country to share a “taste” with the class.

Grades are nearly up to date. Depending on who you are, it just may be up to date. So please check. If you are not happy with your yeast breads test you may retake or take it as the case may be any day after school next week. I will be there Tues-Fri after school for test takers. You can also take it on lunch hour just contact me for details.
