Overview:
- Students completed “The Most Dangerous Game” read/ unit. We concluded with a summative assessment summarizing everything we learned in relation to “The Most Dangerous Game”. Students focused on internal and external literary conflict- specifically three: Man vs Man, Man vs Nature, Man vs Self.
- Students created a plot diagram analyzing how a our text unfolds throughout with focus on a variety of skills including but not limited to providing textual evidence, close reading/ analysis, building vocabulary, annotation, etc…
- SSR+ conference: Students continued SSR activity packet, reading logs, and setting and reflecting weekly reading goals.
- Students explore a new “Article of the Week” using a close reading annotation lens- SoapsTone + (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning writing response)
