We will be focusing on fraction story problems for SLOT this week and on Friday, you will have your Dividing Fractions and Fraction Story Problems assessment.
We will also be focusing on Chapter 3 and your homework tonight is to finish Review and Preview 3.1.1 and 3.1.2.
The homework is review and preview for 3.1.1. It includes problems 3-12 through 3-21.
I am noticing that many more students are keeping their binders organized this card marking compared to last card marking. Also, some students who had several missing assignments last card marking are ensuring that they complete their assignments this card marking. I am very proud of the positive trend that I am noticing! It’s never too late to make positive changes in your daily life!

Explaining your work in complete sentences is important!
Your closure and practice test (in the homework section of your binder) are good study tools.
During the week of November 27th, we will be wrapping up Chapter 2 and assessing students on the topics that we explored. Here is the plan:
Monday: Complete lessons 2.3.3 and 2.3.4
Tuesday: Complete lesson 2.3.5
Wednesday: Complete the closure activity and problems (the rest is homework)
Thursday: TEAM assessment (this is like a group test)
Friday: Individual Assessment (This is a test that each student completes his/herself

1- Venn diagrams, Bar graphs, Dot Plots, Histograms, Stem and Leaf Plots
