Welcome to our first official week of remote learning. This is not to say that everything we did prior to this will not count, but starting April 20th we are obligated to keep track of attendance and participation.

If you have not yet reviewed the new Fordson plan for remote learning, please watch this video from Mrs. Alcodray:

If there is something going on at home that prevents you from completing the work you must communicate with me via email or remind. I am here to help you and find solutions. I am obligated to submit names of those who are not participating and submitting assignments, and unfortunately that may result in repeating this semester during summer school or night school. Again, ANYTHING YOU NEED please contact me via email or remind during my office hours and I will help you and problem solve. I am here for you.

Assignments:

PLEASE visit google classroom to read through all the assignments. I posted 6 for this week. You are to watch all the AP sessions I posted. I hope you are participating in these in real time on College Board. The three assignments that MUST be submitted for credit are the Exam Review sessions 1, 2, 3. The others make sure you do for your own practice and feel free to submit them as well. See you Tuesday at 2pm 🙂 I will send you the info about how to join google video tomorrow evening. Happy Studying 🙂

Hello Studious Students,

Please check google classroom for AP Lang Live Session 4 and the homework assignment. Please make sure you are keeping up with school work. We are told that everything will count. Thank you. Please take care of yourselves and let me know if you need anything.

Hello,

Please check google classroom for 3 assignments just posted. Each has a different due date. Also look forward to a video session coming soon. After you read through the instructions, feel free to contact me via remind or email for clarification and/or questions. Thank you.

I am not going to assign an essay this week. Please use this time to work on the units and review them. Participate in the AP online review courses as well. I will score the essays you submit today. I will also plan a video on Zoom with you later this week for a Q&A session. More info to come. Happy Studying 🙂

I hope you all stay safe and well. Stay home! Thinking of you always. I miss you ALL dearly. #AloneTogether

So, the AP teachers and I were discussing the exam, and it’s possible that the 45 minutes exam is consisted of the short free response like you see on AP classroom. This is just a theory, but either way, even though I opened all the units, focus on the FRQ assessments 1-7. We know that MCQ will not be on the exam, and units 8-9 won’t be on the exam. If you have questions, please let me know.

Beginning on Wednesday, March 25, students and teachers can attend free, live AP review courses, delivered by AP teachers from across the country. These mobile-friendly classes are:

  • Designed to be used alongside work that may be given by schools.
  • Will be recorded and available on-demand so teachers and students can access them any time.
  • Not dependent on current AP teachers continuing instruction. We know many AP teachers now face challenges that would make that impossible.
  • Will focus on reviewing the skills and concepts from the first 75% of the course. There will also be some supplementary lessons including topics from the final 25% of the course.
