Welcome back parent letter

Dear Families,

Our field trip to the Creature Conservancy will be this Wednesday, June, 14, 2017. Unfortunately, we will not be able to take all the parents who volunteered to go on the trip due to limited space. Please provide your child with a bagged lunch that is disposable. NO LUNCH BOXES. Also, please have your child wear gym shoes.

Dear Families,

On Friday, June 16, 2017, our kindergarten promotion ceremony will take place at 9:15 am. We will start promptly so please make sure you are on time. Dismissal will take place at the end of the ceremony. We cannot wait to see you all there!

Dear families,

Our last project will be the ‘Math About Me’ fact sheet. Please help your children neatly complete their project. In the middle, they should glue a small photo of themselves (or draw one if a photo is unavailable) and write their name. In the ‘I am ______ years old’ box, help your children create four number sentences that add up to their age. For example, 4+2=6. The rest of the boxes should be easy for them to complete since we went over the project in class. Last, have them color the sheet. Please make sure your children have their simple project sheet done by June 2, 2017. Thank you for your continued support!

Science and Engineering Night is tomorrow night (Tuesday, May 23, 2017) from 4:15-5:30. There will be many exciting science and engineering activities you can do. There will also be raffle baskets full or science and engineering materials you can win! Raffle basket tickets are $1.00. Snacks will also be sold. Come and enjoy a night of fun and learning!

Our Spring Concert is June 8- You are all invited! 

The $8 collected will be used to purchase more than just the Clean-Up Parade t-shirts and materials needed to design the t-shirts. They will also be used to buy each student sunglasses for the parade, as well as graduation sashes for the end of the year. Again, thanks for your support.

Geer Park Elementary and all Dearborn Schools are engaged in an ongoing continuous improvement process, of which parents and guardians are an integral part.

Geer Park Elementary is using the AdvancED Parent Survey to ask your opinion. The online survey will be available from May 9 through May 31.

We are asking all of our parents to complete this survey.

Dear families,

We have a Clean-Up Parade on May 24, 2017. Our theme for kindergarten is Flowers. We would like to customize white t-shirts. We will need fabric paint and t-shirts to do this. It will cost each student approximately $8 to cover these costs. Please send the money in with your child by Friday May 19, 2017. Your support is appreciated.
