Forgotten Victims of War

Students were to read the article, “Forgotten Victims of War” in class. As a class we completed a pre-reading strategy and students were to start and complete informational text.

After completing the “social justice” unit, topics such as: poverty, mental health, war, education, etc. were present in the article. We discussed and watched a brief video that depicted the sadness of a stolen childhood from the article from www.upfrontmagazine.com October 29, 2018 issue.
