Hi! STAND and City Beautiful are sponsoring a Can and Bottle Drive to raise money to purchase plants for our Peace Pole Garden. If you have clean cans and/or bottles that you can donate please bring them down by the art room. Bags for collections will be in the hall. Dear Snow Families,

It’s that time of year again, the Little Caesars Pizza Kit Fundraiser is underway! All proceeds will be used to help send next year’s Fifth Graders to Camp Pinewood. Packets have been sent home with all important information. If you need another, there are extras in the office. New for this year there is an online ordering option at www.pizzakit.com (Fundraiser ID #298211).

Order forms and payments are due on May 1st and pizza kits will be delivered on May 13th, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM.

Spirit Week is coming up starting Monday, March 30 and ending Thursday, April 2! Be part of the fun! We are using this week as a fund raising effort for the PBIS Program. We are asking for 50 cents per day to participate, or $2.00 for the four days. Money can be given to the classroom teacher. Everyone is asked to dress for a theme each day:

Monday, March 30-Hat and Moustache Day

Tuesday, March 31- Wear Your Teacher’s Favorite Color Day

Wednesday, April 1- Wear Your Favorite Sports Team Apparel Day

Thursday, April 2- Crazy Hair Day

There will be ONE Spirit Award given to the class with the highest percentage of participation.

Our PBIS Reward Party for March will be on Thursday, April 2, from 2:45-3:15pm. Weather permitting it will be RECESS for ALL!

Pennies for Pasta: Our last day to collect will be this Friday, February 27! We have been very supportive of the Leukemia Foundation and look forward to closing out this week with a record collection. Our total right now is $852.95! Tons of thanks for your support!

PBIS Reward Party: Monday, March 2, 245-315: Students may bring electronics from home for this reward day! We usually don’t allow tablets, Ipads, Ipods, Leapster, DS and other suitable electronics at school, but this one half hour is different! FUN! Please enjoy, respect and be responsible with your electronics!

All fifth grade students will have the opportunity to take part in a field trip at the Ford Performing Arts Center. The Dearborn Art Department wrote a grant that will enable our students to create recycled sculptures, view the local sculptures on display in the city of Dearborn and write poetry that relates to their experiences. This is a free trip, all we need are lunches and imagination! Thanks Dearborn Art Department!

STAND is doing a Snow School favorite fund raiser- Pennies for Pasta! Please send in change for our drive to work toward a cure for Leukemia and Leukemia Research. We will end our drive on Friday, February 27. Many thanks for your help and in keeping this worthy fund raiser a long tradition at Snow.

I am combining STAND with City Beautiful this year! There are so many clubs at Snow that there are not enough days for everything!

We will meet in the art room on Wednesdays after school from 3:40-4:30. STAND and City Beautiful will be on the same day this year, our projects will overlap and we will work as one large group!
The following is a list of meeting dates for your calendar. We will never meet the third week of the month due to district committee meetings. Please mark your calendar with these dates. I hope this will save us last minute phone calls home. I have written the dates on the Master Calendar in the office, but that means our meeting will be announced on that day. This is prior notice for your planning.
