Friday morning I need help bagging popcorn, if you are available to help out please come to school between 9:00 -9:30. The students earned this as a reward for filling 25 boxes of canned goods during the month of November. The office promised if they filled 25 boxes the school wins a popcorn party. Our Lost and Found box is overflowing, if your child is missing any hats, coats, lunchboxes, or clothing please remind them to look at the lost and found box. Parents are welcome to come inside and look in the box for any missing items.

Dec. 5th – PTA Meeting at 2:00 p.m. – Agenda will be discussing the upcoming Holiday Shop for the students. Candy Cane grams and a Bake Sale, please come to the meeting and hear what is happening in your child’s school. PTA needs parent volunteers to help out with the Holiday Shop and Candy Grams.

PTA is having a free movie night for River Oaks students on November 29th starting at 4:45 – 6:15. The movie will be The Cat in the Hat rated PG.
PTA will have a concession stand selling Pizza, Popcorn, Water, Juice boxes and a Bake Sale.
Please bring a blanket, or beach towel, and pillows we will be eating picnic style on the cafeteria floor.
Concession stand is on a first come first serve basis
Children MUST be accompanied by a parent/adult 18 years or older. This event is for River Oaks families only.

This year we are helping Dearborn High School collect Canned goods to help feed the hungry. Please help us help them to reach their goal. If every student brought in one canned good we could fill all of the boxes they provided. So please help out. If we can fill all 25 boxes the school will win a popcorn party.
This year’s fourth annual Battling Against Hunger drive is a cooperative effort between Dearborn, Edsel Ford and Fordson high schools, with help from the elementary and middle schools that feed into those buildings. The drive runs from Nov. 12 to 16. The goal is to collect 30,000 canned goods for Zaman International and $7,600 for the Amity Foundation.
