Snow School Field Day/Relay for Life Day: Monday, May 18, 2015
11am-3pm
Hi! We will meet on Wednesday, May 13, but NOT on Wednesday, May 20. Sorry for the change, I had something come up last minute and cannot be here on May 20. See everyone on Wednesday, May 13, NOT on May 20!! Thanks.
We will be working in the garden outside the lobby. A local Master Gardener will be showing us some gardening tips and help us make the area beautiful. Please bring garden gloves if you have them and have some shoes/clothing that would be appropriate for working in the dirt!!!!
Field Day and Relay for Life will take place at Snow School on Monday, May 18. Activities will start around 11 am with an All School Picnic. After lunch the students will rotate through 17 stations where they will be doing Field Day Activities. Two of the stations will be walking the perimeter of our school grounds to simulate the walk for Relay for Life. Please make sure your student is prepared for the day outside! If you purchased a Field Day shirt for your student, please have them wear it. If you did not but have Snow Spirit Wear that would be a great alternative. We will be running a fund raiser called Penny Wars to raise money for a donation to the Dearborn Relay for Life. Please send in pennies to be added to your child’s class donation. To add to the fun, any paper money or silver coins that are brought in can be put in another class container to reduce their earnings. For instance- a nickel put in another container subtracts five pennies, a dime would reduce the amount by 10 pennies, and so on. Penny Wars starts Monday, May 11 and ends after the start of school on Monday, May 18. We are all looking forward to Field Day, Relay for Life and Penny Wars! Feel free to stop by and see what is happening!

Hi! STAND and City Beautiful are sponsoring a Can and Bottle Drive to raise money to purchase plants for our Peace Pole Garden. If you have clean cans and/or bottles that you can donate please bring them down by the art room. Bags for collections will be in the hall. Our drive will run from Monday April 20 through Friday, April 24. Many thanks!!

It’s that time of year again, the Little Caesars Pizza Kit Fundraiser is underway! All proceeds will be used to help send next year’s Fifth Graders to Camp Pinewood. Packets have been sent home with all important information. If you need another, there are extras in the office. New for this year there is an online ordering option at www.pizzakit.com (Fundraiser ID #298211).
Order forms and payments are due on May 1st and pizza kits will be delivered on May 13th, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM.

Spirit Week is coming up starting Monday, March 30 and ending Thursday, April 2! Be part of the fun! We are using this week as a fund raising effort for the PBIS Program. We are asking for 50 cents per day to participate, or $2.00 for the four days. Money can be given to the classroom teacher. Everyone is asked to dress for a theme each day:
Monday, March 30-Hat and Moustache Day
Tuesday, March 31- Wear Your Teacher’s Favorite Color Day
Wednesday, April 1- Wear Your Favorite Sports Team Apparel Day
Thursday, April 2- Crazy Hair Day
There will be ONE Spirit Award given to the class with the highest percentage of participation.
Our PBIS Reward Party for March will be on Thursday, April 2, from 2:45-3:15pm. Weather permitting it will be RECESS for ALL!
