We will be having a Spirit Day each Friday in December!  On Friday, December 4, the theme is Snow School- wear a Snow t-shirt or sweatshirt or a blue shirt.  For Friday, December 11, our theme is RED and/or GREEN Day- wear RED and GREEN clothes to school.  We have saved the best for last!  The day before the holiday break, Friday, December 18, is UGLY SWEATER Day!  Have fun and share your holiday spirit!

On Monday, November 30, the Lions organization will present an assembly on anti-bullying.  If your child has a Detroit Lions shirt or Jersey please encourage him/her to wear it to school.  No Lions gear, how about a Snow School shirt?  No Snow School shirt, how about a blue shirt or top?  Thanks for your support, please spread the word and very sorry for t he.late notice.

Parents – We Need your Help!

Hi Parents and Friends,

We want to make sure every student gets the lunch you bring! We are asking for your help as it is becoming increasingly difficult for our office staff to make sure that lunches and snacks that are dropped off get into your students’ hands without disrupting the instruction in the classroom.  If you drop off a lunch or snack after the school day begins, please label it with your child’s name and teacher and place it in the basket in the office.  We are asking teachers to remind students to check the basket if they are expecting that you will be dropping off a yummy snack or lunch for them or if they forgot their lunch.

Similarly, we are often inundated with calls at the end of the day with changes to after school routines.  We do our best to get this information out to your student, but sometimes that is not possible.  Please make sure your child knows where to go with whom after school and try to save the phone calls for emergency changes to established routines.  With almost 400 students, messages are sometimes misplaced or forgotten and we want to be sure your child is not confused at the end of the day!

STAND and City Beautiful will meet on Tuesday, November 10 and 17 from 3:40-4:30.  Art Club will meet Friday, November 13 and 20 from 3:40-4:30.  Both clubs meet in the art room.  Many thanks for your patience.  I have a lot going on in and out of school right now and I am working everything from all angles.  The December and “in the future” schedule will be out before the Thanksgiving Break.  Can’t wait to see the kids!!!!

The PBIS program at Snow is looking for donations of extra Halloween candy.  If you have too much we would love to take it off your hands.  Please send it in to Mrs. Grizzell, Room 4.  Many thanks!

Monster Family Night tonight!

Don’t forget, tonight is the Monster Family Night at the Scholastic Book Fair from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. There will be special appearances by some frightfully fun monsters, along with a raffle, games, prizes and some delicious baked goodies for sale.

Also, if you haven’t already, please send in your spare change for the classroom contest. Whichever class collects the most change gets to turn Dr. Groover into a mummy!
