WORK HARD AND BE PROUD OF YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS Showcase:
Dear Students and Families of Snow School,
There are many wonderful milestones that have been accomplished by our students at school and in our community. As part of our Leader in Me Program, we would like to showcase these milestones. If your son/daughter individually, or as part of your family, a group or a team, has risen to the next level in anything-sports/reading/volunteering, etc., or has shown great leadership, participated in charity events, helps out at Scouts, church, or in another way, please send in documentation and we will post these in our new showcase for Leadership. Items, with names!!!, should be sent to Mrs. Zechar. Your items will be returned after the month they have been posted. If we get a lot of entries we might have to hold on to yours for a bit before it gets posted. Thanks for your help in celebrating our Snow School Community!

Empty Bowls is coming up!

Empty Bowls is coming up!

empty-bowls-dearborn-2016-1

Please join Snow School as we present the bowls we made for Empty Bowls. Fifth grade students made bowls this year! Students are able to purchase their own bowl for a $5 donation to the district Empty Bowls Dinner. The staff will have their annual Empty Bowls Lunch and can purchase a Snow School made bowl for a $5 donation. Any bowls left over will be delivered to Park Place and will be among those that can be selected at the dinner. The money raised by this event comes right back to our Dearborn Community AND to the Blessings in a Backpack Program at Snow School!

Book Fair Information!

Snow Families!
The Scholastic Book Fair starts this week. We have a great selection of books to choose from this fall and hope you can make it in to see us. Students will be visiting with their classes Tues. thru Thurs., and the book fair will also be open Mon., Wed. & Thurs. after school until 4pm. Then we will be open Fri. morning for last-minute shoppers from 8:30 to 11am.

If you can’t make it to the book fair, please visit the book fair online at:
https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/snowschool

Included with the flyer sent home last week was a baggie for our “All for Books Campaign.” Collect any loose change from home, put in the baggie and bring in to class. The class that raises the most money will get to wrap Dr. Groover up like a mummy!

Our Family Halloween Night is Tues., Oct. 25 from 6 to 8pm. Please join us for lots of spooky fun. You can shop at the book fair (in the media center), purchase delicious baked goods at our bake sale and play Halloween themed games in the gym.

If you are able to volunteer to help during the book fair, please visit the signup link at: https://volunteer.scholastic.com/#/experience/signup/wcxkI8CMH

NOTE: if you send in cash or check with your child, please be sure to add tax (6%) and make checks payable to Snow PTA.
