Art Club!!

There is no Art Club on the calendar this week. I will be at a memorial celebration for a teacher colleague this evening. There will be a sign up letter coming home about day/week preferences for Art Club. I will look at the sheets and determine the break of our group. You will get notification on the new set up before the February break. We will resume Art Club the week we come back. Thanks for your patience- thrown into the mix is my aging mother. Getting older is hard on all of us. Thanks, again, for your understanding and support. Jo Anne

News from Mrs. Gallery!!!

Dear Snow Parents,

Snow Elementary is committed to fostering an inclusive environment for our students with and without disabilities. As part of our efforts to support students with disabilities we have developed a program to promote awareness.

Peer Pals is dedicated to building relationships between general education students and students with special needs. This program allows general education students to develop empathy and understanding of differing abilities. It allows for students with special needs to build friendships with same age typically developing peers. Some students will be paired in social/academic activities with a peer pal. Student participation is voluntary.

NO ART CLUB this week!

NO ART CLUB this week!

I am trying to figure out a way to accommodate all 50 students in Art Club. The group is too big to house them all at one time. Right now I think it needs to be split and each group would come either every other week or two weeks on, two weeks off. I am looking at a few things- a 25 person limit per day sign up- meaning the first group of 25 that sign up come every other week, the second group comes the other weeks, or assigning by alphabet like A-L and M-Z, or by families, or by grade level. I would appreciate your feedback. I am not going to meet this week because I need to figure this out and I have mom commitments, too. Many thanks for your thoughts and understanding!
