2018 Summer Arts Academy

There is a brochure out from the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center that contains class listings for summer programs- visual arts, theater, chorus and photography.  If you have an interested student please have them see me for a paper copy.  You can also look at the brochure at thttps://www.dearborntheater.com

Summer is quickly approaching!

The Visual Arts class is taught by a very fun, engaging and talented local artist- Eugene Clark.  This is for students ages 7-11.

Mr. Rashid Beydoun, of the Stout Theater Company,  will be doing two productions- The Little Mermaid ( ages 11-17) and 101 Dalmatians (ages 5-12).

G. Kevin Dewey will work with students aged 16 and up who love to sing.

The Arab American National Museum will be offering a SURA ARTS project taught by professional photographers and teaching artists.

All School Grounds Clean UP!!!!

All School Grounds Clean UP!!!!
Parents:  Please send your child to school with gardening gloves- if you have some- for Monday, April 30.  All of our students and staff will participate in a belated Earth Day activity.  The action we are taking is to spruce up and clean up our school grounds.  We will be picking up trash and garbage and pulling weeds.  Thanks in advance!

Art Club WILL NOT meet this week due to the grand opening of the Dearborn Youth Arts Festival at the Ford Performing Arts Center.  The events start at 4 pm, hope you can stop by to see the amazing show!

City Beautiful WILL NOT meet this week due to the Teacher of Year Ceremony!

See everyone for both clubs NEXT week-  Art Club on Wednesday, May 2, and City Beautiful on Thursday, May 3!

Pizza Delivery

We appreciate all of the Little Caesars Pizza kits you’ve sold!! Little Caesars Pizza kits will be delivered to school on Wednesday, April 11th. Pickup is from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

We do not have any storage in the freezer to hold your items overnight and they must be kept cold so please make arrangements to pick up your orders.

We appreciate all of the Little Caesars Pizza Kits you’ve sold!!!
Little Caesars Pizza Kits will be delivered to school Wednesday, April
11th! We are looking for volunteers to help us with organizing/sorting
them and then distributing them to everyone. We will start sorting at
1:30p.m on April 11th. Pickup is from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30p.m. Please let
the PTA or Ms. Sherlock know if you can help out. The more people, the
faster it goes!
