Assignment 1: Paul Klee Inspired Art
You will need a sheet of paper. If you have some newspaper or a piece of mail that is black type on white- that would add another layer of interest and dimension to your work. You can see he liked lines but you are welcome to also choose a shape and repeat that. Lines would be easier to make a lot of especially if you have a ruler! Prepare your paper!!!!!

Now…color- your choice. You can use all the colors of the rainbow or pick your favorite, or use related colors…. Artist (YOU) choice! This can be crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint…..

Make sure you send me a picture of your work that includes your first and last name and the name of your teacher! zecharj@dearbornschools.org
Assignment 2: TRICKY PAPER BALL (but the video says easy……)
I had to watch several times but it was SO satisfying when I finished!!! You will need: a glue stick, 6 paper clips, clothespins, bobby pins or something that can hold papers together while you work, 6 strips of paper that are just under a half inch wide by 8 inches long. Between a quarter and a half inch, or 1 cm if you have the means to measure that. You will also need PATIENCE> I started, got frustrate, left it and came back.. I watched the video, stopped it, then moved on. I used paper clips to hold my strips together. It works, persistence paid off. Stick with it! Send me a photo of how it turned out! Don’t worry, this is more an exercise in hanging in there as much as creating- be honest and show me what it looks like!
Send the photo, with your first and last name and the name of your teacher. zecharj@dearbornschools.org
Well, that is all she wrote- and 5th grade art is over!!! You have until next Friday, June 5, to submit these and any art assignments you want me to look at for PARTICIPATION credit for art.
As always, make sure you have all your school work done, enjoy some fresh air every day, help out with your family and around the house and Be Kind!!!!
