Today we used this document (Intro to Gunpowder Civilizations) to brainstorm what we need to know about empires in order to compare them. Then we watched this video https://www.history.com/shows/mankind-the-story-of-all-of-us/videos/mankind-the-story-of-all-of-us-gunpowder-to-guns to figure out what these empires were all about and then we analyzed 4 maps to see how the main 5 gunpowder empires changed: Gunpowder Empires with maps (in the 30s as far as slides go). Tomorrow we will work in groups for the project.
