Class Update and Assignment for Monday

Today your assignment is to read the text below and start to create a schedule of you can balance this new set of expectations in your lives. If you have any questions or concerns AFTER reading the text email me. 

                                                                What Remote Learning Means for Me

I thought it would be helpful to start informing you how the new remote learning plan will alter our weekly schedule. 

Monday- Student work Day – On Monday of every week I will post the activities we will work on for that week, as well as when they should be turned in. (Most assignments will be submitted through email at your own pace) Mondays will be designated as time you can complete work for the upcoming week or even catch up something from a previous week. 

Tuesday- Office Hours and Digital Hangout – On Tuesday and Thursday morning I will post information about how to join the “Office Hours Video Conference.” There we will discuss the assignments for the week and check work for understanding. Because we need to check our work it is imperative ALL students at least check in with me during office hours. Office hours will be held from 11:30-12:30 EVERY TUESDAY and THURSDAY. You will not be required to attend the entire digital meeting but you will need to log on and check in. This will be required for your new participation grade. There will be individual circumstances where students will not be able to attend a digital meeting, in that case you are required to email within 24 hours before or after the digital meeting you missed in order to get credit. 

Wednesday- Student Work Day- Wednesday will be devoted to students completing work remotely. 

Thursday- On Tuesday and Thursday morning I will post information about how to join the “Office Hours Video Conference.” There we will discuss the assignments for the week and check work for understanding. Friday- Student Grade reports- On Friday I will submit a record of who did what to our Principal as well as input grades for work done that week. This would also be a good day for students to catch up and submit anything they may have missed that week.
