Fri-Yay 2/1/19

Hello All!

Welcome back, and Happy February!

Here is what we did today. Students, if you were absent today, please go into iLearn and if possible, print off the vocabulary sheet for Dirk the Protector that we did in class today and complete it for Monday. It is in the memoir section. The story Dirk the Protector is also in that section. The vocab words are all defined within the story. You do not have to read the story.

Tuesday 1/29

Hello All-

I hope you enjoyed your snow day yesterday!

Today we took the district assessment that we were supposed to take yesterday. We also had some time to work on the writing prompt in iLearn from Friday, and some students who had completed the writing prompt were able to work on IXL 7.E.2.

Some students had a little difficulty logging in to the district assessment. Some students were able to login using their regular credentials, some had to use their username for the password as well, some kids created a new password. That was some of the trouble shooting that we did. 🙂

**In the event that there is no school tomorrow (or even Thursday), please make sure you complete the writing prompt in iLearn, and study prefixes 21-25. I’d like to have a quick quiz on 21-25 on Friday. 🙂

Fri-yay 1/25

Hi All-

It’s been a weird week with Monday off, start of the new card marking/semester,  snow day Wednesday and I was out of the classroom on Thursday for Trauma Training, so this is the first post this week. I hope you all have a good weekend. Stay warm!

*The anchor chart for Point of View will help you to do your 7.E.2 IXL. If you weren’t here on Thursday, copy those notes onto a piece of paper and keep in the notes section of your binder.

**If you weren’t here today, there is a writing prompt, under the “Writing Prompt” section of iLearn that I want you to answer. Open it up, press add submission, and then answer all the questions before you submit. Please give thoughtful and complete responses. I really want to get to know all of you a bit better, and I’m hoping if you do this that I’ll be able to! 🙂 Don’t forget to submit the assignment when you finish. 🙂

Thursday 1/17 & Friyay 1/18

*Today marks the end of card marking 2, and semester 1. We are half way through the school year.

**Many students have been coming to class without paper or pencils. Please check in with your student and see if they have the supplies that they need in order to be successful in class.
