Welcome back!!!
I can’t believe Summer has already come and gone, and we are starting another school year. It was great to meet everyone that was here today. I’m looking forward to a productive school year!
Students received a syllabus today that went over some important information for the class, and had a suggested supplies list. Just to point out, it is not mandatory that the students have the suggested colors for each class. If materials were already bought, or you can’t find the correct colors, don’t worry about it. We will work with what we can get!
The summer learning requirement of the One Pager will be due by Thursday 8/29. It can be turned in any time between now and then.
Hello All!
We are now down to the last weekend of the summer! Can you believe it??? If any of you are scrambling right now to finish up your summer reading and one pager, GREAT! I’m thrilled that you’re working on that. Here is a link with the expectations just in case you forgot: https://stout.dearbornschools.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/1200/2019/05/Stout-7_8-ELA-Summer-Learning.pdf
Another note: In an attempt to help students with organization, we are going to try to implement a color system for core class materials. Language Arts is YELLOW, Math is BLUE, Social Studies is BLACK, and Science is GREEN.
Enjoy these final days of Summer and see you all on Monday, August 26th for the first day of the 2019-2020 school year!
Due to many absences today because of Cedar Point, we only had one hour of Language Arts.
Tomorrow there will be a quick 25 summative point quiz on The Hunger Games. It will be matching and true/false and will only be on what we have read/watched so far. May the odds be ever in your favor. This will be the last grade of the school year! 🙂
**Any student retaking the 1-55 test needs to make sure they bring in evidence of their studying (i.e. Flashcards/all 55 word parts and meanings written out, etc.)
Retakes will take place tomorrow during class.
