Checked in Friday’s homework assignment and went over the answers. Afterwords, the Parallel Lines and Transversals Project was handed out. Students had time to begin the project in class – we will continue the project in class tomorrow.
After reviewing the answers to yesterday’s proofs, students had more practice with angle pair relation proofs. Mr. Wood was available the whole hour to give help to students who needed it.
Students also need to log 20 minutes of Khan Academy time before Monday.

Students used yesterday’s notes to complete the identify angle pair relationships worksheet. On the back of the worksheet, students investigated what happens when the two lines cut by the transversal are not parallel. Then we began our notes on Proofs and proving different angle theorems. Homework is to complete the proof on the back of the notes.
Students started our new lesson today by using the chrome books to work on a Desmos activity to explore the relationship of angles created by 2 parallel lines and transversal. After the activity, we took some detailed notes on the different angle pairs and their relationships. Notes are linked below. Assignment was to finish the angle measure problems on the back of the notes.
Unit 2 CFA Today!
After going over the review guide answers and answering any questions students had, quizzes were passed out. Once done with the quiz, students worked on their SAT Booklet problems (pages 1 and 2 – non-calculator section).

Students had time to catch up on work from last week and ask questions about their review problems for their quiz tomorrow. After students turned in last Thursday’s work, they received a study guide for the quiz (linked below). Answer key is also linked below.

Students received their test score for Unit 1 Test today and had the chance to sign up for a retake. Afterwords, students logged into Khan Academy and worked on the Math SAT Diagnostic tests.

Today we continued our discussion on different angles types and relationships. We discovered how vertical, complementary and supplementary angles are relation. Notes and practice problems are linked below. Practice is homework if not finished in class.
After review last night’s homework answers, we discussed how to use a different type of protractor. Then students were asked to measure, construct and name new angles. They also had more challenging problems constructing triangles and quadrilaterals with specific angle measurements. They will have a little bit of time at the beginning of the hour tomorrow to finish their assignment.
